Quote o’ the Month: Matt Christie at Acephalous

I found this quote in the comments thread to a piece published by Scott Eric Kaufman at his academic blog, Acephalous.

Quoting it out of context is a shame, because you lose the surprise element, but the Quote o’ the Month series has a long history of quoting people out of context, and I wouldn't want to stop that now. Here we go:
