August pointer to BlogHer writings
Storm. Blog. Me. Readers can trip down memory lane for the reference. Or not. In short, here are some posts I've written recently as a Contributing Editor for BlogHer:
- "FDA Ruling On Emergency Contraception: Good for Women, Not For Teens" - Today's news on the FDA's ruling on Plan B (or "the morning after pill"). Links to Bush v. Choice, MediaGirl.org, and Culture Kitchen.
- "Octavia Butler, Rants of a Feminist Engineer, and 'Breeders'" - Links to Women of Color Blog, Rants of a feminist engineer, Pandagon, and Feministe.
- "Coke Drops A Clanger With Advertising Campaign" - Links to essays by Cruella-blog, The Feminist Rage Page ("Equality Never Looked So Pissed"), and Feminist Law Professors ("Aaron Sorkin's Issues With Women"). This one generated some comments.
- "Can Girls Be Geeks?" - Links to writings at The Bb Gun, The Shouty Woman, and LonerGrrrl. The title was a teaser in the form of a quasi-controversial question. I also wanted to make good use of an alliterative phrase.
